Alan visited the orthopedic surgeon the Wednesday after the break. The surgeon (father of one of his childhood friends) noted that both bones (radius and ulna) were broken.
Alan will be in the current cast for 2-3 weeks, then can switch to a waterproof cast for the remaining healing time. The current cast (non-waterproof) has to remain on the arm for at least 2 weeks, and possibly for 3 weeks.
